Because to her it's just a car. It may be a nice car, and fun to drive, but bottom line its still just a car. In her mind I'm sure she thought you felt the same way. So when she's involved in an accident, that was at the very least stressful for her, that she could have been injured in, I'm guessing she assumed that the guy she's dating would automatically place more value on her and how she felt than a car. So, when you freak out about the car and don't pay attention to how she was doing or how she felt, she got pissed. I can understand how she felt, my girlfriend will always come before my car....or anything else for that matter.
